To further strengthen our PMO & Strategy department, we are looking for a Strategy & M&A Manager. As a Strategy & M&A Manager, you will act as a strategic partner to the management team and play a key role in driving business-critical initiatives. In this role, you report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.

Your Role:

The Strategy & M&A Manager leads strategic initiatives and supports corporate development activities across Brussels Airport Company. The role supports Brussels Airport’s long‑term strategic agenda, manages complex M&A transactions (acquisitions, divestments, partnerships), foster innovation and ensures alignment with corporate priorities across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

• Strategy development & execution: support the Chief Strategy Officer in defining, updating, and communicating the corporate strategic roadmap. Conduct strategic analyses, monitor strategic KPIs and prepare briefing materials for executive management and board-level reporting.
• M&A & corporate development: lead or support end-to-end M&A processes, including target screening, strategic rationale assessment, due diligence coordination (financial, legal, technical, HR, fiscal), business case modelling and valuation, commercial and contractual negotiations across all phases of M&A transactions, closing and post-deal integration governance.
• Venture & innovation portfolio: support BAC’s ventures ecosystem (e.g., DronePort, Ahlex, JetPack) and engage in venture board processes on behalf of BAC. Monitor technological evolutions in aviation, UAM, drones, e aviation, and digitalization, assessing strategic opportunities.
• Innovation: promote company-wide adoption of innovative solutions and drive governance processes for advanced analytics and AI tool implementation.
• Stakeholder & partner management: coordinate cross-departmental teams (Finance, Legal, Real Estate, Energy, PMO, HR), engage with external advisors, maintain structured partner relationships, and represent BAC in selected working groups and multi-stakeholder platforms.
• Project leadership & governance: Lead strategic initiatives from concept to implementation, ensuring clear governance, timelines, and deliverables, with high-quality executive and board-level documentation.

What we expect from you:

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in strategy or M&A consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or similar areas.
• Demonstrated track record in M&A transactions and/or strategic projects, with solid knowledge of end-to-end M&A processes and documentation.
• Comfortable collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, able to turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Effective stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills in Dutch, French, and English.
• Highly organized, proactive, solution-focused, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.
