Your areas of responsibility:
- You give convincing interviews on radio and television in French, and you're also able to provide short quotes in Dutch
- You handle press inquiries via email and phone and know how to respond appropriately in Dutch, French, and English. You build a strong network and maintain good relationships with the French-speaking press
- You translate internal, content-driven projects into strong, newsworthy press releases in the appropriate writing style and revise texts. You also write speeches for the CEO for press moments
- You monitor the quality and timing of press communications and help determine the most suitable channels
- You actively contribute to the preparation and execution of crisis communication and remain a strong communicator under pressure. You participate in the press office’s on-call system
- You closely follow current affairs, contribute to the daily press overviews in rotation, and report timely to management. You monitor relevant stakeholders on social media and manage monitoring tools
- You handle media requests for recordings, shoots, and reports with attention to our corporate image and operational impact. You also manage requests for testimonials
- You contribute to a positive public image of the airport by helping to develop and implement the press strategy. Together with your colleagues, you prepare, execute, and coordinate all press communications and events, and draw up concrete communication plans. You are capable of developing, following up, and implementing a communication plan from A to Z
- You proactively identify interesting topics to communicate and bring to the media. You work with project leads to define the right communication strategy and advise on the best approach to (press) communication
Your profile:
- You hold a Master’s degree in Communication/PR/Journalism/Languages/History or have equivalent experience
- You are willing to take part in the on-call rotation, being available one week out of three (24/7 for general press inquiries and crisis communication)
- You have experience with crisis communication
- You have at least 8 years of experience as a spokesperson or in a similar role
- You have a natural way with words and can present complex topics in clear, accessible language
- You excel in both written and spoken French. A solid command of spoken Dutch and English is essential
- You have a broad interest in and passion for current affairs and closely follow the news across various channels
- You are a team player, able to build and maintain relationships with ease
